The netX 90 ASIC is a powerful device-to-network chip solution that supports data communications for slave devices such as: sensors, actuators, encoders, remote IO, motion control and functional safety devices. Multiprotocol support in a single chip for: Real-Time Ethernet (EtherNet/IP, etc.); Fieldbus (DeviceNet, etc.); sensor bus (BiSS, EnDat, IO-Link, etc.); and IoT (OPC UA, MQTT, etc.). Housed in a 144-pin BGA, 10x10 mm2package, netX 90 has two ARM Cortex-M4 cores (logically isolated to limit cyber-intrusion), on-chip Flash memory, Fast Ethernet PHYs, and DC/DC converter. It supports secure boot processes and has on-chip diagnostics and an on-chip hardware accelerator module to handle encryption.
