CPX AP is a flexible, (decentralized or modular), compact and lightweight automation system with protection class IP65/IP67. The simple structure and high degree of scalability ensure the automation system is both low cost and equipped for future applications. An automation system CPX-AP consists of a bus interface and at least one other module. System communication between the modules takes place via connecting cables or connectors. The process data is exchanged cyclically, plus also includes channels for parameters, configuration, synchronization, and safety. The following module types are available:

• Bus interface 
• IO-Link controller 
• Input modules 
• Input/output modules 
• Interfaces to valve terminals, etc. 

The interconnecting system can achieve high performance characteristics:

• 2kB I/O data
• Real time capability
• Up to 80 modules per bus interface
• Cable length up to 50 meters between modules
• Easy to upgrade firmware
• Separate power connections for zone power control
