CompactBlock™ Guard I/O™ is an IP20 rated remote I/O node for the control and monitoring of discrete safety devices like light curtains, safety mats, various guarding devices, emergency stop buttons, and safety actuators. This safety I/O is used to transmit safety data to/from GuardLogix®. It communicates on EtherNet/IP using the CIP Safety protocol. All CompactBlock Guard I/O are designed for reliable operation in industrial environments, plus are TÜV certified for functional safety in applications up to SIL3 and category 4. Guard I/O is especially suited for robotic, point-of-operation, guard-monitoring, and all remote control applications.
