The BridgeWay Ethernet to DeviceNet Gateway allows you to seamlessly connect your Information or Control level networks with your DeviceNet networks. The Ethernet to DeviceNet gateway provides full DeviceNet Master (or Slave) functionality allowing connectivity up to 63 DeviceNet slave devices from an Ethernet TCP/IP based device.
The gateway's DeviceNet functionality includes full DeviceNet Master and I/O Scanner capability, complete with Automatic Device Replacement (ADR) feature. ADR allows the gateway to automatically restore the MAC ID and configuration data to a device, once a failed device has been replaced on the DeviceNet network. It also can be configured to operate as a DeviceNet Slave or can operate as a CIP bridge out of the box.
The gateway's 10/100Mbs Ethernet interface supports IT protocols such as SMTP, FTP, HTTP (dynamic web server) and industrial Ethernet protocols, including EtherNet/IP (Adapter) and Modbus/TCP (Slave).
The gateway supports full CIP message routing from EtherNet/IP to DeviceNet for remote configuration, diagnostics or monitoring of your DeviceNet nodes.
Configuration of the gateway is simple using Rockwell Software's RSNetWorx for DeviceNet or HMS' NetTool-DN-D.
