The 1734-ADN DeviceNet POINT I/O Adapter communicates to a DeviceNet master, allowing connectivity from field-based I/O devices to the DeviceNet network through the POINT I/O system. The autobaud feature will automatically sets the data rate of the adapter for any DeviceNet network. With 1,2, and 4 point granularity, POINT I/O supports installations requiring “just enough” I/O of any mix of I/O signal types. Since the POINT I/O backplane is actually a DeviceNet subnet, architectural advantages, such as direct connections without the adapter, are possible using a Pass-through DeviceNet module, 1734-PDN. For larger point counts, POINT I/O offers a 16 point starter block with a fully integrated DeviceNet interface, which allows expansion of the system with any of the existing POINT I/O modules. The complete POINT I/O system includes terminal bases (screw or spring clamp), IO Modules, Power Supplies and network interface options.

Features Include:

  • Supports Up to 63 POINT I/O modules per adapter
  • Supports Channel Level Electronic Diagnostics
  • Supports Channel Level Alarming
  • Supports Auto Device Replace (ADR)
  • Supports Automatic Configuration (ASM)
  • Supports Channel level CIP Messaging (Browsing)
  • Supports Integrated Function Modules
  • Supports Diagnostic Software Analyzer (MD)
  • Support of ControlLogix® Redundancy on ControlNet
  • Supports large breadth of I/O interface modules
  • Supports Special Configurable Features (i.e., filters)
  • Supports Serial Interfaces (RS232, 485, 422)
