SICK DeviceNet Safety safety-rated controllers allow users to satisfy up to safety category 4, safety integrity level (SIL) 3 and control reliability requirements. Logic is configured using function block programming to ensure that required safety relevant data points are considered.
Features Include:
- SICK UE4427 controllers have an IP67-rated enclosure that includes six dual-channel safety-capable inputs, twelve test/signal outputs and two-dual channel bipolar safety capable outputs. Safety outputs can be controlled via local logic (stand-alone operation), via DeviceNet programmable logic controller (safety enable functionality) or via DeviceNet Safety safety-rated programmable logic controller.
- SICK UE4457 controllers are virtually identical to the UE4427 controllers with the addition of two SICK safety data link (SDL) connectors for intelligent integration of safety light curtains, safety perimeter guards and safety scanners. Users have advanced diagnostics and configuration capability via the DeviceNet / DeviceNet Safety networks.
- SICK UE4470 controllers are IP20-rated devices that include 16 single-channel safety capable inputs (8 dual channel), four test/signal outputs and eight single-channel safety capable outputs (4 dual channel). The UE4470 functions as a stand-alone controller as well as a DeviceNet Safety originator (safety master). Connections to other DeviceNet (slave connection) and DeviceNet Safety (target / safety slave connection) are also supported.
Devices have been certified by Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) in accordance with their programmable safety controller category (NRGF).
