With the rapid migration of Ethernet into the factory environment, HARTING now offers a new connector with Cat. 5e performance for EtherNet/IP applications in harsh environments, in accordance with ODVA standards and tested to TIA/EIA requirements. HARTING has added an M12, 4 wire connector for UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable to their successful HARAX® range (HARAX® = HARTING Axial cable termination). As with all products in this range, rapid cable termination is achieved using axial insulation displacement. HARAX® technology can now be used to connect the unshielded (or shielded) wires without the need for special tools. Both male and female connectors are available for cable-to-cable connection.
